We are SOOO lucky to have Myrleen in our group! She sure takes care of us when it's her turn for treats! I seriously got excited when I looked at our sidebar to see who was bringing the treat!! (Remember her delicious goodies at our VERY first get-together!?!) Well, she is such a doll that she is sharing the recipe with all of us! We weren't able to snap a picture of the final product...since it was such a hit...but here is how to make it! Leave a comment for Myrleen if you try this! AND - email me a pic as well..then I can add it to this post! I am definitely going to make it this weekend!!
** EDITED TO SAY: Tara tried this and snapped the photo below...and YES...she knows the stars are supposed to be in the top left-hand corner! Oops!! This was YUMMY!!
Cream Cheese Clouds
1 pkg. 8 Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Whipping Cream (the liquid kind you have to whip)
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
1 t. Vanilla
Fresh Cut Fruit
Canned Whipped Cream or Cool Whip
Set the cream cheese out until it is room temperature. Blend first four ingredients together with blender. Put in cupcake molds (Michaels has stars, hearts, and others that you can buy for $9.99) and freeze for two to three hours. Serve frozen, topped with fruit and whipped cream (I like strawberries and blueberries for the 4th of july, but in September fresh peaches really hit the spot. Kiwi is yummy in the spring-St Patrick's Day, along with different types of melon balls, and raspberries work well too). For Valentine's Day, you can cut up strawberries, swirl canned whipped cream on top, then shave chocolate on top of everything, very romantic and hits the spot! And of course, you can put food coloring in with the cream cheese! If you come up with something, please share! I'd love to hear your ideas.
Happy 4th of July!!
